Thank you for the your messages and conversations following the announcement of my candidacy for President of The Royal College of Psychiatrists. Your commitment to improving the care we provide and our stance as leaders and innovators is invaluable in our continued growth as a College.

I have expressed my own thoughts about why reclaiming medical leadership in psychiatry is not optional, but essential. At a time of rising demand and ongoing systemic pressures, psychiatrists must be empowered to lead with evidence-based medicine and the biopsychosocial model. I hope it resonates and sparks reflection and debate.
